Like most people who live in the dog world, my family have had dogs as long as I can remember and beyond. First Finnishhounds for hunting, my father and grandfather also bred them and after that 2 rough Collie bitches as homepets for us girls (I have 3 sisters). Our collies, Sara (Lilydream's Caramia) and Ellu (Vesimiehen Ennuste) were mainly my Kati-sister and my moms hobbydogs for showing, obedience and agility. Beside dogs we also had 3 cats Emppu, Iitu and Syltti and ofcourse we had couple of Aquariums. For some reason my father thought we lived in a Zoo! :)

Time went on, we kids moved away and our childhood pets got older. Before we knew it was time to say goodbye. Ellu past away on February 2001, she was nearly 15 year old. Now I thought it was time to made my long time dream come true of having a spaniel in the house, because when I first time saw English springer I was just totally sold for this breed.

I found a really nice compination and was lucky enough to have a puppy from it. So on April 2001 little freckle face from kennel Hightide's came and stole my heart and it didn't take long that it was followed by another puppy on December as a Christmas present (Sisko - Ch Hightide's Kate Winslet). After that there was no return, springers just filled my time, my house and my heart completely. I was sucked into the Springer world and has never regret it. :D

Hobbys with my own dogs concentrate mainly on showing and walking in the forest, but sometimes I also do tracking and obedience. I tried Agility but thought I left it for those who are more speedy and noisy personalitys. :)

Beside my own dogs I have to mention our familys 2 Welsh springer rascals Nasu and Tuuli. They live with my parents as rotten spoiled. They both come from Maarit Ruotsalainen, kennel Dirlian and are co-owned by me. Tuuli is also owned by her breeder Maarit.

I got my affix Ocean Pitfal on 2003 and on the same year my first litter were born. I usually have 1 to 2 litters per year and all the puppies grow inside the house getting use to handling, children and my other dogs.

I think health, right character, hunting leanings and ofcourse the right look is very important. I only use Hip and eye free dogs with good character in breeding. I also wish to have approval of finnish ess breeding committee to all of my litters.

All Ocean Pitfal puppies are registered to Finnish Kennelclub, microchipped, checked by the vet and proberly dewormed. You will have good feeding and caring instructions and one year membership to Finnish springerspaniel club.
