Helsinki puppyshow. Judge Kirsi Nieminen, Fin. All together 5 ess puppies were entered into this puppyshow. 3 of them were from my E-litter. Today was showed Nancy - Op. Eilidh Light, Stella - Op. Enid Spirit and Vilma - Op. Elestren Iris. These sisters were entered into Baby puppy class 5 to 7 month. Judge thought all 3 of them were Excellent type and very promissing and she congratulated me for a nice litter. Nancy were 1 HP, Stella 2 HP and Vilma 3 HP. Also 2 males were entered but they didn't get HP this time so Nancy were also BOB-puppy. She is only 6 months old and this was her 4th BOB-puppy!

Minsk, Belarus. On Thursday we started our journey to Belarus where I had entered 4 dogs in 2 International shows. I had entered Brutus - Ch JCh Op. Baeddan Boar, Nancy - Op. Eilidh Light and my older welsh Nasu - Multi Ch D. Officially Olga. Lea travelled with me, she had entered Sointu - A. Flash.

Saturday "Belarus 2007 show" both breeds were judged by Mrs Natalija Bulelik and Group Nemanja Jovanovic.

All our dogs did great. Brutus got CACIB, CC = BLR Ch title and he also went BOB. Finally he performed nicely in the Group ring and was placed as BIG3! Sointu was showed by Lea. She also got CACIB, CC and she was chosed as BOS. Nancy was BOB-puppy, but with a very large BIS ring she wasn't placed. In welsh ring Nasu got CC = BLR Ch title, she also got CACIB. This is her last needed CACIB for INTERNATIONAL CHAMPION title! (After confirmed with FCI)

Sunday "Autumn 2007 show" both breeds and group judge Mrs Irina Azen. BIS-puppy were choosed by Mr Evgeniy Yerusalimskaya

On Saturday our travel guide told us that we had to do even better on Sunday. At that time I thought it's not even possible, but so we did. :) Brutus was chosed again as BOB with CACIB and CC. On Group competition it was such a pleasure to show him. He moved happily with a long drive and went BIG1!!! Sointu performed again with Lea. Nicely she got again CACIB, CC and BOS. Nancy went BOB-puppy. Finally on BIS-puppy competition she was chosed as BIS3 puppy from over 40 puppies!!! Also our welsh did better. Nasu got BOB, CACIB and another CC. Such a great results. :) This was a nice way to end official shows this year. :))

Lahti puppyshow / Valkeala groupshow. Today I had to test my "sport spirit". I don't know how as I don't even remenber doing it, but I had entered dogs in a two different shows. :)) Nancy - Op. Eilidh Light was entered in Lahti puppyshow and Brutus - Op. Baeddan Boar, Lucy - Op. Damhnait Fawn and our welsh Tuuli - D. True Princess had entered in Valkeala groupshow.

Early in the morning we first drove to Lahti puppyshow, ess judge were breed specialist Harri lehkonen, Fin. Nancy showed really well and got HP she also ended as BOB-puppy.

"Happily shown , strong boned bitch puppy. Right proportions in head and body. Well angulated front and back. Beautifull topline. Correct fur. Still a little soft back. Healthy movement"

After Nancy's breedring we had to start driving to Valkeala group show as quick as we can. Both breeds were judged by Hannele Jokisilta, Fin. Our schedule was a pit thight and we barely made it to the ESS ring. Luckily we did, as Brutus was Winner of Champion Class, ended as Best Male and finally Best of Opposite Sex. Lucy did even better. :) Lucy was Winner of Intermediate class, ended as Best Bitch and finally Best of Breed!! Lucy also got her CC #4. We are ofcourse very proud as she has done only few shows. Our welsh Tuuli did well too. She won very big Working class with Excellent.

Lahti group/puppy show. Adult Ess and Wss judge Jouko Leiviskä, Fin. I entered Lucy - Op. Damhnait Fawn and our welsh Tuuli - D. True Princess to this group show. On springers only 2 females got excellent. Lucy was one of them. She won Intermediate class and was finally BB2 with resCC. Her critique was very good;

"Classical springerspaniel, who has such a beautiful lines. Gorgeous neck and backline. Very beautiful head. Excellent front, body and bone. Excellent broad thigh. Very well angulated from behind. Moves excelently from side."

Tuuli also won her class. Her result were Working class Excellent 1 and finally BB4.

Ess puppies were judged by Tanja Ahlman -Stockmari, Fin. I had entered Nancy - Op. Eilidh Light . She compited on babypuppy class 5-7 month. Nancy showed very nicely and came second with HP. We also met one of Brutus - Op. Baeddan Boar Rochallor offspring. Rochallor Hurricane was also showed. This was his first time and he went nicely BOS-puppy. Congratulations! :)

Hereditary eyetest results. Vilma - H. Jodie Foster, Wilbertti - Op. Aindréas Manly and Brutus - Op. Baeddan Boar were tested today for Hereditary eye illnesses (PRA/HC/RD). All 3 are still clear which is very good news ofcourse. :)

Annual Heinolan All Breed Show. Judge Olga Kuprianova, Russia. Today 3 Op. springers entered. Reetu - Op. Blathmac Bretan, Pongo - Op. Ardal Bear and Lucy - Op. Damhnait Fawn. Pongo - Working VG3. Show atmosphere was too much for Reetu and unfortunately he got too shy and couldn't be evaluated. So Lucy's result was sort of "balsam for wounds". :)) Lucy went BB, CC and finally BEST OF BREED!! :))

PRA-results. Today we got 2 more PRA Cord1 mutation results. Fiona - Op. Canaid Song and Lucy - Op. Damhnait Fawn were tested with these results; Lucy is carrier, but will never get sick herself and Fiona is clear! Fiona's result tells also that my whole F-litter is clear of this mutation.

Joensuu Int Show. Maarit (knl Dirlian) convinced me to travel with her in Int show which was held in city of Joensuu. 5 am we packed 3 welshies, 2 springers and 2 very sleepy people in my van and we started our long 4 hour drive. :) On the way it was raining but when we got in the show place sun was shining from the full sky, it was going to be such a HOT August day. :) Ess judge was this time Stefan Sinko from Slovenia and Wss judge Fernando Madeira Rodriques from Portugal.

Brutus - Ch JCh Op. Baeddan Boar got excellent in Champion class and was placed as second in this quite big class. Lucy - Op. Damhnait Fawn really surprised me and decited not to jump on me this time while performing ;) She won her class with Excellent she also won Best Bitch class and got her first CACIB and Second CC. Finally she was BOS.

On welsh ring our Nasu - Ch D. Officially Olga game second in Champion class and was chosen as Best Bitch 2 getting also resCACIB. So we still need that CACIB to gain her INT CH title. :) "CACIB Hunting" will continue. :)) Tuuli - D. True Princess first in Intermediate class.

PRA-result. We can happily inform that sire of my F-litter, Magnus - Ch Strathnaver Hells Angel is Clear of the PRA Cord1 mutation. This means that our F-litter shouldn't be affected by this PRA form. Also sire of my B-litter Graftonbury Total Recall has tested as Clear. As Vilma is also Clear it means that my whole B-litter is also Clear of this PRA mutation.

Eilidh Light stayed with daddy-Brutus and Stella - Op. Enid Spirit moved to live with mommy-Sointu and is co-owned with Lea and her family.

Fucosidosis-result. Sointu - Alfalex Flash is now tested for Fucosidosis and happily her result was free. Also now our E-litter is all free of this illness.

PRA-results. Vilma, Brutus and Sointu got their GPRA Cord1 mutation results. Vilma - Hightide's Jodie Foster is Free of this PRA form as also her son Brutus - Op. Baeddan Boar . Sointu - Alfalex Flash is tested as Carrier.

Vilma and Brutus testresults shows that their offsprings can never be affected of this PRA form. Also now when both parents of my A-litter is tested we can be sure that all dogs from that litter are Carriers. Brutus and Sointu testresults shows that half of the E-litter are Free and half of them will be Carriers. None of the puppies will never have this form of PRA.

Kotka show is always such a luxory as it takes only 2 minutes to drive there from my house. :D

Today we entered 3 ess and 2 wss. Nasu - Multi Ch Dirlian Officially Olga was showed again as she would need only one Cacib for her Int Ch title. Unfortunately she was only one dog away from it, so we will continue our Cacib "hunting". :)

GPRA-results. Sire for my A-litter Pumba - Ch Marmade Classic Man is GPRA Affected of the cord1 mutation. Dogs that have this abnormal gene pair have a significantly higher risk of becoming clinically affected by GPRA than other ESS. We are so happy that almost 10 year old Pumba is still clinically healthy of PRA. Also sire for my C-litter Frank - Sh Ch Mompesson Blinking Hell is tested for GPRA and I can happily say he is tested as GPRA Free.

(At the moment it is believed that GPRA is the most common form of ESS PRA, unfortunately we don't have a test which would show dogs totally free of this eye illness no mather the results are.Ofcourse having a test for one form is still a big step ahead. Last clinically sick dog in Finland were 2006 and before that 2003.)

3 Ocean Pitfal ess entered into this annual show in Hamina. Pongo - Op. Ardal Bear Working class VG1, Fiona - Op. Canaid Song Working class VG3. Brutus - Op. Baeddan Boar saved the day. :) Brutus was Champion class EXL1 BM BOS. On welsh our Tuuli - D. True Princess got only Junior class VG1. This time also Nasu - D. Despite of the rain it was a really nice day for us. Our results 3 x CC and 2 x FIN CH!! Our welsh girl Tuuli - D. True Princess entered into juniorclass and performed really nicely. Her result were JUN EXL1 BB2 CC. This was Tuuli's first CC. Best was yeat to come with Brutus - Op. Baeddan Boar and Vella - Op. Aerona Berry. Didn't do so good this time as all the dogs were so fat for this judge. :) Op - Aerona Berry - Vella Working class VG1, Op. Damnhnait Fawn - Lucy Junior class VG3 and Pongo - Op. Ardal Bear we are not quite sure what his result were as he got both Red AND Blue ribbon. His owner thought he got VG1 but it was said in his review he got G1. You can't be 1 if you get G. This was noticet at home so his result will remain as mystery to us. :))))

Turku Int. show. 3+ 43 Ess judged by Mr. Blaz Kavcic, Slovenia. 24 Wss judged by Mrs. Elsbeth Clerc, Switzerland.

I had entered Brutus - Op. Baeddan Boar and Sointu - A. Flash to ess ring and also Tuuli - D. True Princess to wss ring. Brutus got Excellent 1 in Working class and Sointu got one of her few Very Goods she's ever got. She competed in Intermediate class. Tuuli did the best. She turned 9 month one day before this show so she competed first time out in Juniorclass. She won big class with Excellent and ended as Best Bitch 2 with ressCC and beautifull qritique. What a nice start our little welsh trombi did. :)
